Thematic Drawing Reflection (3-D): October 30, 2012.
1. I think the strong parts of my drawing are the shading on the soldier's head because I focused on the bumps and depressions in his face and the shadows from the helmet.
2. I could've done the background better because I did it on short notice.
3. I drew a soldier yelling at a member of his squad, the unity is the emphesis of the soldier's face.
4. I used a lot of grey's, the light values of the picture is the background and the dark values are the soldier and his gear.
5. I used emphasis on the soldier by outlining him with darker colors, I wanted him to stand out so that you could get a feel of the environment.
6. I learned that I should use class time wisely so that I can get stuff done on time, and it also applies to life as work ethics.
7. I planned to do a military style one, which I did. I used a grid system and I did everything like I planned.
8. I think this is a worthwile project because it teaches us how to blend, use pastels and chalks. I think you should add a couple of more days to draw becuase some of the drawings have a lot of details.
